This cottage benefits from a wonderful location, on the edge of the village of Hawkshead, yet surrounded by fields with lovely countryside views. The village is known for its literary connections and is home to the Beatrix Potter Gallery, and William Wordsworth former school the historic Grammar School. Those who are looking for a relaxing break enjoying the scenic landscape of the region will enjoy taking one of the number of boat trips that sail on Lake Windermere, or perhaps paying a visit to the viewing platform at Claife Heights. Those looking for a more active break will be spoilt for choice, with plenty of local climbs and opportunities for water sports in the area. On entering this property, guests can use the handy porchway to leave muddy boots and coats, before moving through to the cosy lounge, with its beamed ceiling, fireplace with wood burner, comfortable seating, TV, and DVD. Leading off from the sitting room is the contemporary kitchen/diner, with its oven, hob, fridge, microwave, washing machine, and dishwasher. There is also a dining table here which seats four and a stable door perfect for the summer months. On the first floor of the property there are two bedrooms.
