Par, Cornwall
This cabin is the perfect place to come if you want to get away from it all, situated as it is in a quiet location in the picturesque Luxulyan Valley. Located within 7 acres of meadows and traditional broadleaf woodland with a quirky hobbit hamlet and bell tents and abundant wildlife and private interactive woodland trail. The cabin is situated in its own private garden with a beautiful aspect across the valley. The location of the cabin is off a country lane which also leads to The Treffry viaduct/aqueduct of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. The cabin lies 1 mile from Cornwall s premier attraction The Eden Project and a little further afield, yet still within easy reach are The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the town of Newquay known for its beaches and surfing, and the pretty town of St Ives with its harbour, restaurants, and boutiques. Par Sands is within 3 miles, a lovely sandy beach surrounded by sand dunes with a small pond recently named as one of the top 7 best dog friendly beaches by PDSA, it's ideal for playing and walking your dog and having a paddle in the sea. The magic starts as soon as you park your car, with a short level walk to the cabin through the woodland (wheelbarrows for belongings are provided for ease) leading you to the haven that awaits. On arrival at the property the open plan lounge/diner is the main space in the cabin and is simply and tastefully decorated, in keeping with the general sense of calm here. The wood burner sits in the corner, keeping the whole place warm and cosy. The first basket of logs is provided and more can be bought from the owner who harvests them from the surrounding woodland, at a cost of 5 per bag. There is a TV and DVD. The kitchen is small but efficient, with an oven and hob, fridge/freezer, and microwave. The shower room is also on the ground floor, with a corner shower cubicle and WC. A permanent ladder leads to the snug, platformed bed, which has reduced head room due to its location in the roof space. The bed here is a king size and a window lies behind the head of the bed. Outside, the property benefits from a veranda and garden, where guests can enjoy alfresco meals and those stunning views of the neighbouring woodland and valley. There is seating and a BBQ out here too along with a fire bowl, making the evenings a truly romantic experience. Arts and crafts workshops are available on site throughout the year. Bring sparkle to your winter and excitement to your summer at the Eden Project. Get your skates on for ice skating fun during winter and enjoy the seasonal activities, festive lights or explore the rainforest at twilight.
