Located on the privately owned Atkinson Ground Estate, this property enjoys a peaceful and unspoilt setting. The northeast head of Coniston Water is within easy reach, offering wonderful walks and spectacular scenery. Rugged mountain ranges are ideal for adventurous walkers, though the local area offers plenty for all abilities. After a long day on foot, a visit to the nearby microbrewery and popular pubs are a must, while the local shops are ideal for stocking up on supplies for your stay. A charming oak front door opens into an open plan kitchen/diner, which boasts a delightful blend of traditional exposed beams and contemporary appliances. From here, stairs lead up to the warm and welcoming sitting room with its wood burner, exposed beam, comfortable sofa and TV, perfect for those romantic evenings in. A further stairway takes you up to the king size bedroom, which has been tastefully decorated in neutral tones and features a decorative fireplace, slanted ceiling and delightful window seat. The contemporary bathroom next door boasts a fabulous whirlpool bath for soothing those achy feet at the end of the day. Outside a small patio area sits to the front of the cottage, providing a peaceful spot for a summer BBQ or al fresco drink.
