This cosy, detached barn conversion has an abundance of rustic charm and sits in an elevated position on the boundary to the stunning Exmoor National Park. The National Trust's Heddon s Mouth is a pleasant drive through the park (4.5 miles), or you can head to the nearby picturesque village of Combe Martin (4 miles), boasting a beautiful beach, secluded coves and a small variety of cafes, inns and shops. There are also many breathtaking walks in and around the village, with the route of the South West Coast Path passing nearby. Why not pack up a picnic and enjoy a day out exploring the blissful South West coastline? Take a trip to the nearby charming town of Lynton (10.5 miles) and catch the Cliff railway to picturesque Lynmouth. Why not visit the harbour town of Ilfracombe (9 miles) and jump aboard one of the many boat trips available and see if you can spot a seal or two. Surfers and beach lovers alike have a choice of beaches only a few miles away including Woolacombe's World Surfing Reserve (11.5 miles); also within the village is a dog friendly beach, an array of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Other attractions in the area include National Trust's Arlington Court (5 miles), Dartington Crystal (25 miles) and RHS Garden Rosemoor (26 miles). On entering the property you are greeted by a beautifully bright and characterful open plan lounge/kitchen/diner boasting vaulted ceilings, original timber beams, stone tiling and exposed stonework. Light streams in through the skylights and the French doors which open onto the garden. The charming lounge area sits opposite the French doors, giving you a wonderful rural view from the sofa. Alternatively you can snuggle in front of the wood burner to watch a favourite movie on the Smart TV. The stylishly arranged kitchen area is hand built and fitted with everything you need to cook up a special three course meal or whip up a quick snack. A ladder leads up to the pretty mezzanine level which is ideal for those wishing to escape and enjoy some peace and a good book. Back on the ground floor and to your right is a stylish shower room with a WC and the spacious, cosy bedroom with a king size bed completing the accommodation. Open up the French doors and admire the stunning views over the fields and down the valley to the sea. Out here you'll find the patio area with a BBQ and private hot tub, great for stargazing in this area of low light pollution. The lawn runs down to a picnic area at the bottom where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the sun set into the sea; this area is also great if you don t wish to venture too far. Please be aware, from time to time, there will be livestock in the nearby fields which will range from cows with their calves and sheep with their lambs. Due to a high drop into the neighbours garden, babes in arms up to 6 months only, are welcome.
