Alternatively, head towards the coast and enjoy the spectacular beaches and picturesque fishing villages the area is famed for including Westward Ho!, Hartland and Clovelly. There are also many traditional market towns and villages to explore in the surrounding area such as Bideford, where you can jump on the Oldenburg and take a day trip to Lundy Island.
