Middleham s amenities are on the doorstep, the village's picturesque cobbled streets are home to old traditional pubs, local eateries, a convenience store, fish and chip takeaway, a fine dining restaurant and an abundance of walks and trails. Middleham is famous for its racehorses and several trainers including Mark Johnson are based here. Just a short drive away is Hawes, where guests can visit the Dales Countryside Museum, Jervaulx Abbey, Wensleydale Creamery and Aysgarth Falls and the Forbidden Corner, a four acre garden with a labyrinth of tunnels, follies and other surprises. The nearby walk onto Penhill is a must, so do remember your walking shoes. Just a few miles away is the town of Leyburn with its weekly market and an abundance of shops and eateries. Kept warm by the wood burner pumping out heat, you'll feel toasty and relaxed, switch on the Freeview TV/DVD to choose a film, documentary or chill out with some relaxing tunes on the Bose speaker. The kitchen/diner is the perfect space for family gatherings, prepare a delicious feast in the kitchen which is equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Enjoy the views from the window next to the dining table and watch the world go by or watch the racehorses in the mornings on their daily exercise. Heading up to the first floor, there are three beautifully appointed bedrooms, a king size, a double and a single. Completing the accommodation is the bathroom with a shower over bath and WC.
