The Rivers Usk and Wye are also close by, perfect for fishing enthusiasts day permits for the Usk can be obtained in Crickhowell, while canoes for the Wye are available to rent in Glasbury. For water sports, Llangorse Lake offers sailing, paddle boarding, and kayaking opportunities. Train lovers will enjoy a ride on the Brecon Beacons Mountain Railway, while history buffs should not miss the Big Pit Mining Museum. The large and bright well equipped oak kitchen includes an electric cooker, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and washing machine, providing everything you need for a comfortable stay. The antique farmhouse dining table, which seats six, is ideal for enjoying meals together, with a lovely view of the adjacent paddock where you can spot red kites and buzzards. A convenient downstairs WC completes the ground floor. Upstairs, the charming master bedroom with high ceilings and exposed beams features an antique brass double bed, while the second bedroom with exposed stone feature walls offers twin beds. The family bathroom includes a shower over the bath, a hand basin, and a WC. Outside, the garden offers stunning views across the Usk Valley and Brecon Beacons. Although not fully enclosed, the lawn provides plenty of space for children to play, with a swing set for their enjoyment. You can dine alfresco at the wooden table and benches at any time of day, sheltered by the oak framed canopy awning even if the weather turns. Ample off road parking is available, with a pub within walking distance, a restaurant 2.5 miles away, and a shop 3 miles away.
