Art galleries and museums adorn the streets, while the Brecon Canal Basin begins just south of town hire a canal boat for a lazy day trip on the water. The real reason many visit beautiful Brecon is to climb the highest peak in South Wales, Pen y Fan (6 miles) offering unbeatable views of this renowned national park.
