This family friendly cottage is perfect for those wanting a base in a popular picturesque village with pubs, miles of public footpaths and Bakewell and Chatsworth just a short drive away.
For walkers and cyclists, the nearby trails across the Monsal and Millers Dale are not to be missed they offer jaw dropping views and stunning rolling countryside. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are just a short drive away. Alternatively, meander through the shops and cafes of Bakewell, home to a weekly Monday market and the renowned Bakewell Pudding. Its twin spa town, Buxton, is a short drive and offers a lively arts scene, including the opera house. Ashford in the Water is nearby, offering country pubs and a village shop. Elsewhere are the historical villages of Eyam with its fascinating past and Foolow with its village green and duck pond, just a short drive away. Step into the lounge and take off your coat and boots and make yourself at home. Notice the comfy sofas surrounding the TV and feature fireplace with wood burner, the perfect place to retreat to and relax after a day hiking the hills. Head upstairs where you will find a king size bedroom and a bathroom with shower over bath and WC, and a twin bedroom with views over the village. Take the second flight of stairs to the second floor which boasts a vaulted ceiling offering lots of space and light, and a king size bedroom with a smart TV and en suite shower with WC. Outside there is a rear courtyard with a table and chairs, a pleasant spot to sit and enjoy a morning coffee. Please note this does provide walkway access for next door neighbours. There is handy bike storage for those who intend on exploring the hills on two wheels. There is also roadside parking, subject to availability.
