Situated in the pretty town of Cockermouth the birthplace of William Wordsworth this apartment is the perfect base to explore the northern Lake District and western fells. It has the added benefit of having restaurants and bars within 1 mile, where you can enjoy a romantic meal or a few drinks out after a day of exploring. The shore path at Bassenthwaite is just 6 miles away and runs the length of the west shore. Keswick is only 14 miles away and hosts the popular Mountain Festival annually with some world class sports, outdoor activities, talks and films, as well as live music. Whinlatter Forest is only 7 miles away why not visit Go Ape or hire bikes and explore the forest trails? For something a little different, walk an alpaca or abseil 120ft into a disused quarry. As you enter the property through its private entrance, you will find coat and boot storage just inside the front door.
