Surrounded by magnificent fells with outstanding countryside views and situated in the North Pennines AONB, providing a rural haven for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, with walks and cycle trails directly from the doorstep. Enjoy hiking and fishing at the beautiful Derwent Reservoir (4 miles) which is brimming with rainbow trout and offers breath taking reservoir views. The property also provides opportunities to stargaze in Europe's largest Dark Sky Park. The delightful village of Blanchland is just 2 miles away and boasts a country pub where you can sample a pint of the local ale. Furthermore, the popular town of Hexham is 13 miles away, with plenty of shops, restaurants and entertainment options. The cottages were built around 1860 and were originally mine workers cottages. They are well situated for visiting the Pennine Dales, Hadrian's Wall, Wallington Hall, Cragside, Beamish Museum, Bowes Museum and old country towns such as Hexham, Corbridge and Alston. Leave your muddy boots at the door as you step into this endearing cottage and head into the open plan kitchen/diner. Equipped with everything you could need to rustle up a lazy brunch or evening meal before sitting around the dining table and enjoy a game of cards with the family. The lounge is cosy and provides the perfect place to relax in an evening and watch a movie on the Smart TV. Upstairs you will find two comfortable bedrooms; one double and one 4ft double, and the shower room. At the front of the cottage is a small sitting area with bistro table so you can enjoy your morning coffee and delight in the spectacular scenery that surrounds you. To the side you will find a picnic area with benches and a BBQ where you can enjoy al fresco dining in the summer sun.

Night storage heaters. Smart TV in lounge. Hairdryer. Due to the location, mobile phone signal is variable however, there is a landline for emergency and incoming calls only. Large garden area with furniture and charcoal BBQ (charcoal not included) (N.B. the garden can be enclosed by shutting the gate at the entrance however, pets and children must be supervised at all times due to the size of the plot). Off road parking for 2 cars. Rail for securing bicycles. Shop and pub 2 miles.
