Slightly further afield, you have the popular village of Ambleside (13 miles) and Windermere (14 miles). Coniston itself has plenty to offer, with a range of cafés and bars at its centre. Set within the picturesque grounds of Lake Bank, Fairfield is located on the 1st and 2nd Floor of Lake Bank House and sets the scene for a relaxing break. Until recently a private dwelling the owners (since 1975) who already let 2 other holiday apartments in the building have made improvements to make the property ideal for a relaxing holiday with family or friends. Once parked in the private parking space, you can head up the stairs to this spacious first floor apartment. The shared hallway (used only by the owners and their personal guests) offers plenty of space to kick off your boots after a day on the fells. Once inside the first floor entrance you are led through to the main living space where the cosy sofas and wood burner offer a romantic space to enjoy the spectacular lake views and make the most of your holiday. Seated at the spacious glass dining table you can enjoy your meal and the views from all 4 windows. Off the hallway lies the amply supplied kitchen. With cool, neutral tones, this room makes cooking your evening meal a delight. Across the way, you will find the bright king size bedroom with spacious fitted wardrobes. With more panoramic views across the lake from here, you can spend an evening stargazing into the evening sky or wake up refreshed in the morning sunshine. The en suite bathroom offers a spa bath for you to wind down and reflect on the day s events as well as a shower. Step outside and explore the acres of private woodlands and open space. Shared with the other properties on the grounds, these outdoor areas give you plenty to explore. You ll also find a handy dog wash, shared between the neighbouring properties.
