This beautiful property is situated within 25 metres of Talkin Tarn, where a tearoom, boat hire, great walks and bike routes provide many opportunities for adventure. The village pub is less than a mile away for relaxed meals out. The historic market town of Brampton is only 2 miles away with antique shops, cafes and takeaways, and there is usually a farmer's market once a month in the square. There is golf course within 500 metres; enjoy a round of golf or dine on a lovely lunch in the clubhouse restaurant. Gelt Woods (2 miles) offers a delightful walk and an RSPB nature reserve. Look out for the rock with an inscription carved by a Roman soldier in the 3rd century. You can also walk along the ridge through woodlands and take the quarry beck footpath to Lanercost Priory (4 miles). Hadrian s Wall (8 miles) stretches seventy three miles from Wallsend near Newcastle to Bowness on Solway. There are Banks Turret, near Brampton, and Birdoswald Roman Fort, just a few miles away.
