A mile away a pub beckons serving local ales. Venture 3 miles to the bustling village of Pooley Bridge, here you find riverside coffee shops, pubs, a restaurant, independent stores, a bookshop and an off license, P.O and Tourist Information. From here you can take in the magnificent scenery from the water when onboard one of Ullswater steamers to Howtown where there is a tea room or further to the lively village of Glenridding which has a sailing centre. For a more leisurely day indulge in a spa day at the local Hotel less than a mile away. Overlooking a pond and open countryside. There is seating on the ground, a pond, and a fire pit, creating an ideal setting to admire starry skies and get away from reality.
