The small village of Marske-by-the-Sea rests a short distance away from the majestic North York Moors National Park and 20 miles away from Whitby. Within the village itself you will find a magnitude of amenities, including a selection of local shops and pubs, and attractions including sandy beaches, sand dunes and fishing boats. Attractions within the surrounding area include Captain Cook's birthplace, the mining museum, and the Zetland Lifeboat Museum.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
