The cottage has one king-size bedroom with a TV, sleeping two guests in total, and is served by a bathroom. The cottage is also home to a first-floor kitchen/diner and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside there is ample off-road parking and a lawn and patio with furniture. School House Cottage is the perfect choice for your couple's retreat to the North York Moors National Park. Ampleforth is a beautiful village on the fringes of the North York Moors National Park. Offering a traditional aura with its quaint buildings, a selection of two public houses and a fish and chip shop, it makes a rather tranquil base from which to explore North Yorkshire. Explore the vast countryside by either foot or bike, with ample routes for all abilities, or head to Pickering to discover the wonder of its steam trains, while Castle Howard and Scarborough are well-worth visiting too!

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
