As the only Cornish village with a village green surrounded by trees, Blisland is nestled beneath the granite-bound Bodmin Moor on the western edge. Old cottages and houses, as well as the Blisland Inn, can be found clustered around the green. The village's proximity to the A30 makes it an excellent starting point for exploring the rest of Cornwall.
At Poley's Bridge, the Camel Trail, a 17-mile long disused old steam train line to Padstow, is marked by a sign. Walking and bicycling are both welcome on this path, which is devoid of automobile traffic. Between Wadebridge and Padstow, a purpose-built hide has been constructed for birdwatchers, so you can even explore the trail while riding a horse.
Put on your hiking shoes and head to Bodmin Moor, or grab your beach gear and head to one of the many stunning beaches that line the northern coast of Cornwall. It's a wonderful place to visit for everyone!
Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
