Cleobury Mortimer is a charming little town in South Shropshire's agricultural heartland. The town includes a diverse range of interesting businesses, a local brewery, taverns, and restaurants, but it is most known for its remarkable church, which features a distinctive crooked spire. Ludlow (with its magnificent castle), Bridgnorth, Tenbury Wells, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ironbridge are all within easy driving distance.
A E Housman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.
Short breaks may still be available.
