With easy access to the popular Hadrian's Wall and the Lake District National Park nearby is the market town of Brampton. The town is rich in both history and culture due to its former Roman occupation and its Moot Hall which dates back to 1817 and now operates as the local Tourist Information Centre. There is a wealth of impressive architecture and an abundance of walking and cycling routes along with pubs, cafés and restaurants to enjoy.
