The bedroom consist of a king-size with TV, along with a ground-floor bathroom. To the front, there is a patio with furniture and roadside parking. Within 0.1 miles,there is a traditional pub. Please note smoking is not permitted. 2 Dogs welcome- please keep the dogs in the kitchen whilst wet. Dog gate provided. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. This property is positioned on a busy road, so there may be traffic noise. Off road parking available 300 yards from the cottage. The stairs are steep and curved not suitable for people with mobility issues. There are exposed beams in the bedroom, please take care. Cholmley Cottage is a classic cottage for exploring North Yorkshire.
Ruswarp, 1.5 miles inland from Whitby, has old stone cottages lining the main street. Ruswarp has a great pub with hand-pulled real ales and a famous butcher. The Esk Valley Walk passes through the village and takes 25 minutes to reach Whitby. Ruswarp has regular bus service and steam trains run through the single track railway! Relax on the river for an hour or feed the ducks or have a snack at the tea room. A great base for exploring the North York Moors and the surrounding coastline.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
