A visit to Bude is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you'll never forget. In Bude, you can relax on the beach, build sandcastles, and explore rockpools at low tide, all while enjoying a cup of coffee in a cafe overlooking it all. In addition to surfing, the rolling waves and footpaths along the restored canal or along the North Cornwall coastal path provide an excellent opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. With a top-notch golf course, an indoor pool, a bowling alley, and the Bude Castle's Heritage Centre, Bude has a lot to offer visitors. At Warbstow Bury, a large Iron Age hill fort, panoramic views can be seen within a short drive. When looking for a day trip, take the coastal road north to Hartland Point or walk or ride a donkey down the steep and cobbled village street (no cars allowed) to the harbour and the pub far below in beautiful Clovelly, a quaint seaside village. Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Tintagel Castle, Doc Martin's Port Wenn at Port Isaac, and yet more great surfing beaches at Polzeath can be found if you follow the coast in the other direction.
Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
