Located at the mouth of the River Seaton in Cornwall, the seaside town of Seaton is home to a family-friendly, south-facing beach and the Seaton Valley Countryside Park and Nature Reserve, which is teeming with wildlife including otters and kingfishers and has excellent cycling and walking trails. It is not far to drive to the attractive working harbours of Looe and Polperro, and the wonderful lengths of the South West Coast Path in this region of Cornwall will lead you to secluded coves, dramatic headlands, and the legends of shipwrecks and smugglers. Plymouth, a bit further away, has a marine aquarium, a theatre, major shopping malls, and the historic Barbican waterfront district.
