In the English county of Dorset, along the River Stour, is the market town of Blandford Forum. The town, which is renowned for its Georgian architecture, was mostly rebuilt in the 18th century after being completely devastated by fire in 1731. With the help of the Bastard brothers, local architects, King George II donated money to reconstruct the town centre. Annually, in the first week of May, the Blandford Georgian Fayre honours the town's Georgian roots with speeches, historical re-enactments, music, and dance.
