Only eight miles from Harrogate, the historic market town of Otley is located in Lower Wharfedale and is on the border between North and West Yorkshire. Otley, which is rich in history, has a lot to offer tourists, including numerous family-friendly activities that take place all year long. Three street markets every week, a monthly farmers' market, numerous specialty stores, award-winning bakeries and butchers, high-street chains, and three supermarkets can be found in Otley. Good cuisine and a selection of drinks are available at the many traditional pubs and inns. The charming Riverside Park offers lovely walks along the River Wharfe, which flows through the centre of the town, and Chevin Forest Park's forested slope, cliffs, and moorland offers breathtaking views of both the city and the magnificent surroundings.
