The cottage also has a kitchen and a sitting room with dining area. Outside there is a gravelled area with furniture and barbecue and shared use of a children's wooden play castle.1 Primitive Mews is an ideal romantic base for exploring the area.
The village of Chelmorton is situated in the heart of the Peak District National Park. The village boasts a village shop and pub which serves good food. Chelmorton has a fascinating historic landscape of 'fossil' arable strips enclosed within drystone walls and the village has a lovely medieval church of St John the Baptist.
The ultimate in "year-round" appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.
