Yate Cottage is a semi-detached, Grade II listed, former servants quarters forming part of Yate House in the village of Oxenhope near Haworth. The cottage is set solely on the ground floor and offers one double bedroom, a shower room with underfloor heating. There is an open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a gas-fired stove. Outside, there is off road parking for two cars, a lawned garden with a patio and furniture, access to the owners’ mature and formal gardens, and woodland leading to the village. Yate Cottage is the perfect romantic retreat for couples exploring Bronte country, all year round.
The small village of Oxenhope lies amid wonderful scenery, and offers the chance to take advantage of the multitude of walks in the area. The village, with its shops, churches and pubs, is home to the terminus for the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, which runs on a regular basis to Haworth and on down to Keighley.
