Ash Tree Barn is a wonderful, upside-down holiday home in Wainstalls, two miles from Luddenden in Yorkshire's Calderdale. The property is the wing of the owners' stone farmhouse, set on their non-working farm. There is a spacious double bedroom upstairs, which also makes up the sitting area and downstairs, there is a shower room and a kitchen with a dining area, as well as boot storage in the hallway. Outside, there is off road parking for two cars and a patio where you can enjoy a spot of lunch, or why not take a leisurely stroll around the owners' grounds? In a lovely location, with wonderful attractions close by, Ash Tree Barn is perfect for a romantic getaway. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome.

Luddenden, a Conservation village in Calderdale, West Yorkshire, close to Hebden Bridge. The village has a lovely church "St Mary's" and a very old pub "The Lord Nelson" where Bramwell Bronte once drank and is asserted to have established the first public library in one of the upstairs rooms.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?
