Hazel Cottage is a lovely detached cottage situated in the village of Backbarrow just one mile from Newby Bridge. The cottage can sleep four people in one super king-size double bedroom and one king-size double which are both en-suite as well as ground floor cloakroom. Also in the cottage is an open plan living area with kitchen with dining area and sitting area with woodburner. Outside is off road parking for two cars and a private enclosed patio with hot tub, furniture and barbecue. Hazel Cottage is a superb cottage for a romantic all-year-round holiday.
The small village of Backbarrow sits by the banks of the River Leven and the southern tip of Lake Windermere. The famous Haverthwaite Steam Railway runs close by the village between Haverthwaite and Lakeside. Enjoy magnificent views across Windermere and the surrounding fells, or visit the Aquarium of the Lakes, where the naturally themed habitats bring the history of the Lakes vividly to life.
