The village boasts Rowington Manor, once owned by Catherine Parr and Shakespeare Hall, where it is said Shakepeare's family lived when he wrote 'As you like it'. Henley-in-Arden boasts one of the most unspoilt high streets in the country, which contains over 150 buildings listed as being of Special or Historic interest. The town has its own Heritage Centre, itself dating back to the 12th century, with many restaurants, traditional pubs and individual shops, as well as a selection of sports facilities including golf courses, tennis courts and fishing.
