Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and logburner. Outside is a garden and roadside parking. Situated in the Lake District National Park, Townhead Cottage is a lovely romantic cottage all year round. Please note that for any stay between 28/4/23 and 9/5/23, the fireplace will not be in operation and cannot be used. There will be a logburner installed from 9/5/23.

The picturesque village of Pooley Bridge sits on the northerly edge of Lake Ullswater in the Lake District National Park. The name Pooley came to be due to the forming of a large pool, which was left by the fast flowing River Eamont, and the word Bridge was later added when a bridge, which is now 250 years old, was built over the river. Pooley Bridge has many traditional inns and tempting tea rooms, plus the Ullswater Steamers depart from the village, from where a tranquil cruise down the lake to the villages of Glenridding and Howtown can be enjoyed.

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
