Keighley is in Aire Valley in West Yorkshire, within reach of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The town grew during the 18th and 19th centuries due to wool and cotton industries. Today, Keighley offers a shopping centre, pubs, takeaways and restaurants, whilst on the outskirts of the town there is two retail parks, and the Keighley and Worth Valley Light Railway. Just out of town is the National Trust East Riddlesden Hall. 4 miles away is the village of Haworth. The village offers cobbled streets, shops and the Bronte Parsonage Museum. The market town of Skipton is nearby and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, plus within driving distance are the city of York and delightful Harrogate. A lovely base to explore a large part of Yorkshire.
