The Fisherman's Rest is a Grade ll listed cottage situated in a prime position right in the heart of Hastings Old Town and can sleep four people in one double bedroom and one second floor twin room, together with a family shower room. The rest of this character cottage contains a kitchen with dining area, a utility and a sitting room. To the outside there is parking in a nearby public car park and a courtyard patio with furniture. The Fisherman's Rest is ideally located for both couples looking for a romantic break away, or for families looking for a Sussex seaside break.
The large historic town of Hastings offers a great mix of interesting places to visit, and is comprised of three parts, joined by the promenade. On one side is the Old Town, with narrow streets or 'twittens', attractive houses, Shipwreck and Fisherman's museums, wonderful tall black net huts, a fresh fish market, seafood restaurants and cafés. In the middle there is a contemporary shopping centre and on the other side is St Leonards on Sea with its fashionable Norman Road with antique and vintage shops, art galleries, examples of Burton's architecture (of Kew Gardens and London Zoo fame), Marine Court Art Deco flats designed in the shape of the HMS Queen Mary, and the remains of the Amsterdam, which is visible at low tide at Bulverhythe.
With many quaint, seaside and market towns, historic sites and miles of glorious coastline to explore, Sussex has it all for a great holiday destination.
